CommitteesCatalogThis committee is responsible for: assisting members in developing individual company product catalogs; working with the approved catalog printer and administrator to ensure proper marketing and communications with SEDA members; and the supervision of the program's funding and annual committee budget development. The committee studies and presents new program recommendations to the Board of Directors and coordinates manufacturer participation.
Chair: Wayne Johnson Government Relations This committee is responsible for formulating and representing the interests of the safety equipment distribution industry in all regulatory and legislative matters before the U.S. Government and federal agencies. The committee is also responsible for supervising the relationships with approved vendors, developing and supervising an annual committee budget, and disseminating information to the membership. Membership & Outreach This committee is responsible for reviewing all membership services to the Board of Directors; developing membership recruitment and retention strategies, as well as augmenting the image and communications of the association to the membership, industry, regulatory community and general public. Relative to membership, the committee is specifically responsible for initiating and organizing annual membership recruitment and retention programs within the guidelines and policies of the association, as well as the development and supervision of the annual committee budget and monitoring and reporting to the Board on membership status. The committee is also responsible for reviewing and revising all recruitment/retention materials. Relative to member outreach, the committee is responsible for collecting contributions for the SEDA Scene, and making sure members receive complete coverage; working closely with all SEDA committees to positively promote SEDA; ensuring proper relationships with the industry publications; and the development and supervision of an annual committee budget.
Chair: Wayne Johnson Nominating Heidi Levitt Program This committee is responsible for the development and oversight of all aspects relative to the SEDA annual conference, including developing the program content and social/optional activities, annual operating budget, theme development and the promotion of the conference to ensure member participation. The program committee will interface with the other SEDA committees in coordinating and planning the educational program.
Chair: Mike Standley SEDA/ISEA Joint CommitteesThe following committees have been established in conjunction with the Industrial Safety Equipment Association.Education This joint committee is responsible for development and oversight of all association training and educational opportunities. This includes primary responsibility for the Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP) Course, a safety and health technical and regulatory fundamentals course for manufacturers, distributors and manufacturers' representatives.
